September SOTM Blog Hop - Poster Tidings

Welcome to the September Stamp of the Month Blog Hop.  This month I am following Connie Walsh's Blog.   We have almost 60 Close to My Heart Consultants participating in this month’s Stamp of the Month Blog Hop.

The September Stamp of the Month is entitled Poster Tidings (S1309) (Set of 2). Here is a picture of this stamp set:

I am totally in love with my Cricut Artbooking Cartridge.  All of the die cuts are cut from this cartridge.  And this week the Gypsy software was updated to include this cartridge.  I am head over heels in love with it now.

Do you like my little tree?  It seemed to go well with the Autumn saying from this stamp set.  The leaves were cut by cutting the tree multiple times in different cardstock colors and then just dropping the color of leaf I wanted where it belongs.  I can easily do that by cutting out my leaves and leaving it on my Cricut mat until I am ready to use them.  Then I know the exact position of the leaf and can just pluck it off of the mat, ink the edges, and then using a little 3D foam tape, adhere the leaf in place.

Cricut Artbooking Cuts:
Tree - Saddle Cardstock:  pg 72 at 8"
Leaves - Ruby, Honey and Sunset Cardstock - cut trees 3 more times and only use leaves
Cat - Black cardstock: pg 70 at 4"
Pumpkins - Sunset Cardstock: pg 55 at 4" and 3".

Here is my card.

Everything is edged with Saddle Ink.  The card base is made of Barn Red Cardstock.  The next layer is Topiary Cardstock.  The sentiment is stamped on Champagne Cardstock and matted with Barn Red Cardstock.  That patterned paper is from the Sarita Paper Pack (X7171B).

I added a little dimension to my pumpkins with the stamp set Distressed Backgrounds (D1544) using Sunset Ink.  The stems are colored by dragging them through our black pigment ink.

The next stop on the blog hop is the Fabulous Kathleen Androlewicz's Blog.

The Postal Tidings Stamp Set can be purchased for $17.95 or if you purchase $50 in CTMH products, you can add this stamp set to your order for and additional $5.  This stamp set is only available between September 1 – September 30, 2013. You can purchase this stamp set as well as any of the above supplies here:  on my website.

Musical Inspiration at Heart 2 Heart Challenges

Welcome to this week's challenge at Heart 2 Heart Challenges.  Loving this challenge - using a song, make a piece of artwork that reminds you of that song. Does that make sense? I have been humming Fun, Fun, Fun by the Beach Boys all week.

I couldn't find a Close to My Heart T Bird image so I used the GTO image from our Stamp Set, Maximum Power, D1564.

So let's say that I used Ronnie and the Daytona's Little GTO song for my card as well.

I decided to vintage up my card because after all, the songs are from the 60's.
Here is my card:

Iused our new paper pack, Laughing Lola (X7170B), the beautiful Base and Bling Floral Accents (Z1883), and the Black Mini Medleys (Z1862).  See the words under my picture?  That is the zip strip off of one of the patterned papers.  I am hoping that this card has a feminine feel to it.

So now it is your turn!  What stamp set has you singing and dancing and what song are you singing?  After you finish your artwork please go to  www.heart2heartchallenges.blogspot.com and post a link to your project.  I cannot wait to see what you make!

I used the card pattern from My Favorite Things to make this card so I am entering it into their challenge.

Join Me in Another New Product Blog Hop!

Welcome to the Fall 2013 New Product Blog Hop.  I am following Sheila Bennett's Blog.   We have over 30 Close to My Heart Consultants participating in our New Product Blog Hop.  I am sure that you will see some gorgeous artwork.

Can I say once again that I really love this new catalog?!!  Just look at the gorgeous cover.

I am currently addicted to our Close to My Heart exclusive Cricut Artbooking Cartridge.  I am so addicted that my family is thinking of sending me away to rehab (is there a Cricut rehab?).  I am losing sleep and running my machine until I have to replace the blades and the mats.  Chirp, chirp, chirp all night long.  It is definitely a sickness.

So, what did I make for the blog hop?  I made up this super duper cute card.  Hope you like Owls because I cut this one with the .............. that's right the Close to My Heart exclusive Cricut Artbooking Cartridge.  I also used our last how to book called Make it From the Heart, Volume 1, Pattern 25.

And, of course, I could not resist adding a little glitter so my owl is made with our Black glitter paper. I have used our new Laughing Lola paper pack and assortment as well.  All of the edges are inked with black ink.

My owl is cut out at 13 inches, pg 85.  My banner is also cut with the Artbooking cartridge, pg 41, 8 inches.  I have been trying to add a few more cutting directions but Blogger is not behaving so I am sorry about that.

The next stop on the blog hop is the Fabulous Wendy Coffman's Blog.  I am sure that she will dazzle you with her creation.

By the way, the A Chocolate Affair Stamp Set can be purchased for $17.95 or this month our promotion is called Sweeten the Deal.  When you purchase $50 in products, you will receive this stamp set for FREE between August 1 – August 31, 2013. You can purchase this stamp set as well as any of the above supplies here:  on my website.

I am entering my cute little owl in the Anything But a Birthday Card Challenge at Aud Sentiment Challenge Blog and Anything Goes at Craftin' Boutique Challenges.

Did you know that our new Idea Book was just released on August 1st?  Look at the gorgeous cover.

If you do not have a Close to My Heart Consultant and would like your own copy of the Idea Books, be sure to leave me a comment with your email address and I will contact you to get your address so that I can send you one.

This is truly my favorite catalog of all times.  There is so many beautiful and innovative products.  One of my favorite products is the latest edition of Make It From Your Heart.  This is a how-to book with tons of scrapbooking and card patterns and ideas.  It is a great jumping off point if you need to get your mojo going.

I wanted to make a simple masculine card.  I chose to use Card Pattern #28 on pg 46.  Then I chose my stamp set, The Party is On (C1568).  This is a Hostess Rewards exclusive stamp set.  Only gathering Hostesses can purchase this stamp set.  With a qualifying gathering, you can get this stamp set for just $8. Wow!  What a great price!

Here is my card:

I made my card base from Whisper Cardstock.  My patterned paper comes from the New ProPlayer paper pack.  Such a fun new product!  I also used the Zip Strip from one of the patterned papers under the stamped image.  The frame around the sentiment was cut using the Close to My Heart exclusive Cricut Artbooking cartridge.  I used the Pacifica Cardstock in the paper pack.  The adorable embellishment in the top left corner of the card came from the ProPlayer Assortment.

Now, hop on over to our next Blog hopper, the very talented, Christy Geyer and see what she has made for you to see!

Bon Voyage with H2H

Welcome to this week's challenge at Heart 2 Heart Challenges.  Our challenge this week is Bon Voyage. Bon Voyage means good journey in French. I took French in high school so for some reason FRance was on my brain. The Cricut Artbooking cartridge is also on my brain and I just had to use one of the super cute overlays from our new cartridge.

Here is my card:

The overlay was cut in Whisper Cardstock.  The Eiffel tower (I've been there!) was cut in Black cardstock with the Cricut Artiste cartridge.  The cloud and the fancy frame were also cut with the Artiste cartridge.  The plane is from the Artbooking cartridge and was cut with our Black glitter paper.  There is black Glitter Trim around the edge.  The card base is made from Indian Blue Cardstock.

So now it is your turn!  Let me see what you can do with our Bon Voyage theme.  After you finish your artwork please go to  www.heart2heartchallenges.blogspot.com and post a link to your project.  I cannot wait to see what you make!
