December Stamp of the Month Blog Hop - Special Care

The December Stamp of the Month is entitled Special Care (S1312) (Set of 6). Here is a picture of this stamp set:

I always use the December Stamp of the Month for the card I give to my Husband for our anniversary.  This year we will me celebrating 13 years of marriage.  It has been a wild ride, but lots of fun and we are really coming together as a couple now that we have kids in the house - grandkids that we are raising.  We are having to learn to work together instead of each of us doing our own thing and coming together at night.

Here is my card:

I used a couple of paper packs - Laughing Lola and  Sparkle and Shine Paper Pack (X7176B).  The edges are all ink distressed with our Black Ink (Z2105).  I stamped the stamp of the month with Crystal Blue Ink (Z2117). The stamp set, Dotted Love (M1026), was randomly stamped with Crystal Blue ink on the White Daisy Cardstock after I spritzed a little color onto the White Daisy Cardstock using our Spray Pen (Z1380) filled with rubbing alcohol and Whisper Reinker (Z2272).  I also stamped the I Love You with Black pigment ink (Z2503) onto the Laughing Lola paper and I cut it out and adhered it with Bonding Memories Glue (Z553).  The heart was popped up with 3D foam tape (Z1151).  

I used the Laughing Lola Assortment (Z1854) at the top of the tag.  The picture doesn't show it but it has the cutest plaid pattern.  The 13 is from our Irresistibles Houndstooth Alphabet (Z1779), sponged with Slate Ink (Z2173).  I put Black Sparkles (Z1754) on the tag and at the bottom of the card.  I didn't take a picture of it but the inside of the card has the sentiment, "We put the fun in DYSFUNCTIONAL" which comes from our cute Hostess Rewards stamp set, Family Photo (B1433).

I think my husband is going to get a kick out of this card.  Looking forward to another great year.

Gratitude with an Attitude Blog Hop

This month our Stampers With an Attitude is  featuring artwork showing gratitude.  When our team was deciding on a theme for this month's blog hop, I really thought that I would do something with a Thanksgiving theme or fall leaves.  I just love those colors.

However, I needed to design my Christmas card workshops.  I love unusual cards and I love to make them.  I found this adorable card and tutorial a few years ago and I wanted to make it.  It is a spinner card.  But I needed a gingerbread man stamp and Close to My Heart did not make one.  Instead I made a Halloween card with a bat that slid back and forth and was pretty happy with it.

But I was still hankering to make a gingerbread man spinner card.  Imagine my joy when I saw this new Close to My Heart Stamp Set!

Do you see the absolutely adorable little gingerbread man!  Woo Hoo!  I am in Heaven!  And here is my card:

Do you know what my gingerbread man does?  He rolls back and forth on my card as I move the card back and forth.  This gives me such great joy.  It really is fun to play with.  I am guessing it brings the child out in me.  Anyway, for that I am grateful!

I used the Sparkle and Shine paper pack for this card.  I played and played around with the top piece and was just not satisfied with the patterned paper so I decided to make my own.  The top piece is put together with our Sparkle and Shine Washi Tape and Silver Glitter Trim.  I just love how happy and cheery it is.

Gratitude with H2H

Welcome to this week's challenge at Heart 2 Heart Challenges.  Our challenge this week is called Gratitude. 

I really loved this challenge.  I had a special friend who I wanted to make a special card for and this challenge came at a good time.  

Here is my card:

I was going to sponge the background for this card, but it was just taking too long for me.  I am kind of an inpatient person at times.  So I pulled out my handy dandy brayer.  I used Sky, Crystal Blue and Indian Corn Blue Inks for the sky and Champagne, Cashmere and Saddle Inks for the ground.  The trees are stamped with Topiary and New England Ivy Inks, using the Rock and Roll technique.  The lines you see in the sky is partly due to how the cardstock picks up ink and partly due to it was still kinda wet when I took the picture.

I used these stamps sets:

I also used the stamp set from the Frosted Cardmaking Workshop on the Go (G1063).
