November SOTM Blog Hop - It's the Little Things

Welcome to the November Stamp of the Month Blog Hop!

This month I am following {Adeline Brill's Blog.}   We have close to 60 Close to My Heart Consultants participating in this month’s Stamp of the Month Blog Hop.   If you lose your place while traveling through our blog hop, the complete list of participants can be found here.
The November Stamp of the Month is entitled It's the Little Things  (S1411) (Set of 15). Here is a picture of this stamp set:

And here is my card.

I went back to an old technique that I have used before.  I masked a part of my card and then stamped around it.  I love the sentiment on this stamp set. The flowers are randomly stamped around the mask.

I couldn't forget the bling!  I attached some Bitty Sparkles to the center of the smaller flowers. Then I used our ruler and our Black ShinHan Alcohol Marker to draw a line framing the masked area.

Thank you for visiting my blog.  I would love for you to leave me a comment and then please go to our next artist, {Michelle Stewart's Blog.}

The It's the Little Things Stamp Set can be purchased for $17.95 or if you purchase $50 in CTMH products, you can add this stamp set to your order for an additional $5.  This stamp set is only available between November 1 – November 30, 2014.
You can purchase this stamp set as well as any of the supplies listed below on my website.

RIP - Trouble's Brewing

Happy Halloween!  Trouble's Brewing at my house!

The skull and bones overlay was cut with the Close to My Heart Cricut Artbooking cartridge.  I backed the skull with Silver Glitter Paper.  I used up the rest of my Scaredy Cat complements.  The bat and the bird both have Bitty Bling for eyes.

We have goblins galore awaiting night so they can trick or treat.  Hope you have a great Halloween!

Close to My Heart Artfully Sent Rocket Ship Birthday Card

I needed a special card for a very special birthday.  My grandson, AJ, was having a 13th birthday - a big milestone indeed.  He is now a teenager.

So I went into Cricut Design Space and found the perfect card design in our new cartridge, Artfully Sent.  It can be found in the Artfully Sent Handbook, pg 28,   Sentiment.

I love the star patterned paper for this card.  Doesn't it just fit?  It is from our Chalk it Up paper pack. I used Canary cardstock for the inside of the card and it shows through in the sentiment.  I placed a piece of Lagoon cardstock and Cranberry cardstock behind the blast and the birthday to make them stand out.  Then I drew in the rest of the letters with my Marvy Uchida LePen Journaling Pen.

I LOVE Design Space!  I was able to cut the rocket ship out by itself in Whisper cardstock.  I used the "Hide Contour" button to hide the rest of the card and save paper.  I did the same with the flame coming out of the rocket.  I used our wonderful Sunset patterned paper from Scaredy Cat.  And then I popped the Rocket up with some 3D Foam Tape to add a little pizzaz!!!

I decorated the inside of the card with our stamp set, Robot Family (C1583).  You just cannot give a naked card!

I added a black star and 2 white stars that I colored blue with our Turquoise Blue (B68) ShinHan alcohol marker.

I had so much fun making this card that I want to make it easy for you to create it as well.  Here is the Design Space File for this card:  https://us.cricut.com/design/#/canvas/project/21560196

You need to have the Artfully Sent Cricut Cartridge in order to cut this card.  You can purchase it here.

My Pathfinding Card Kit

Can you believe that it is almost November?  Where has this year gone?

I have been asked to teach a workshop with lots of technique and I was going to do a variation of the Close to My Heart Pathfinding Workshop on the Go cards.  But as I took out the Pathfinding paper to really look at it, I totally fell in love with Pathfinding's rich colors and felt inspired.

My customers like a variety of sentiments on their cards so I designed 4 different cards that can be used for different occasions.

If you are local (Memphis, TN area) and would like to attend my workshop, the cost is only $12 to make these 4 cards and learn new techniques - heat embossing, easily adding multiple colors to your stamped images, unique random stamping, alcohol ink blending, and the sunburst card technique.

I just love everything about this card.  Who would have guessed that Glacier (blue) would go so well with the deep yellows and browns of Pathfinding?

The card design came from Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge.

Sunburst card. I will show you how to make this easily.  Love how this card came out.

What a wonderful autumn Happy Birthday card and who doesn't need a birthday card?

This card pattern came from Mojo Monday.  I added multiple colors to this stamp before I stamped it.  The pumpkin and leaves were all colored with our new ShinHan Markers.

Not local but want to make these cards?  I can do all of the stamping for you and send you a kit for only $17 plus $5 shipping.  I will email you the complete instructions.

To order a kit(s), you may pay securely online with a credit card or your PayPal account by using the PayPal “Add to Cart” button below. Be sure to use the drop down menu to choose your kit options. If you would like your kit(s) shipped, please choose the shipped option. $5 will be added for shipping.

Scaredy Cat!

Okay.  This is now officially my favorite of my Scary Halloween Card Kit.  I love the purple (Thistle) and orange (Sunset) together topped off with the black and it makes for a very striking card.

This is all made with the Close to My Heart Scaredy Cat Paper Pack and Complements.  The Complements are made of cardstock so they are of great quality.  I backed one of the stars with a piece of Close to My Heart Silver Glitter Paper.  And check out the bat with the bitty bling eyes!

Can you see the two staples at the left bottom of the card?  We got a new mini stapler in our current catalog and it always works - no half stapled or gnarled staples.  Lovin' it for that little bit of added oomph!

The Scary Halloween Card Kit can be purchased here.
