June SOTM Blog Hop - Who wants Ice Cream Dream?

The June Stamp of the Month is entitled Ice Cream Dream (S1506) (Set of 7). This stamp set just begs to be colored in with our ShinHan markers.  Here is a picture of this stamp set:

Have you seen a stamp set that is more fun than the June Stamp of the Month?  I have so many ideas in my head.  Here is my first attempt.

I have used a few fun products in this card.  The sentiment is stamped on a Seaside Picture My Life Card.  I was trying to make it look like a menu board.  The cone just had to be chocolate!  I sanded the card base and the patterned paper from Seaside.  The ink distressing was done with a sponge (not a sponge dauber) and I used Desert Sand Ink.

I am entering this card in the Verve Week 5 Sketch.

Orange You Sweet?

Our May Promotion is almost to an end.  I had so much fun stamping the fruit from the Taste of Summer stamp set that I made one more cascading fruit card.  It is so much fun and I added some bling in the middle of each of the fruit slices to add some zing.  The colors in this paper pack go together so well that with each of my cards I have mixed and matched the papers and sentiments and now I have a complete set.

Taste of Summer Layouts

Taste of Summer really allows you to make some beautiful layouts.  The Close to My Heart Art Department designed two workshops to go with this promotion.  I used the scrapbooking layout workshop and I love how it came out.

Here is my first layout.

I cannot wait to get some pictures on these layouts.  I love the mix of the fruit patterned paper with the second side of the paper which is the geometric pattern or the outlined picture of the lime slice.

The second layout brings out the bright reds and yellows found in this paper pack.  Pairing this paper with our White Daisy paper gives you a bright, happy layout but it won't over power your pictures.

Summer Fruity Card

Can you hear me humming while using my Close to My Heart Taste of Summer paper and stamp set?  Can you say another card made?

I am loving the bright colors and the cascading fruit.  I have added some bling this time with our Sparkles.  Just the right touch!

You can make this card too!  No fancy techniques, no extra embellishing - just stamping and a few self-adhesive Sparkles.  Can you say easy?

I don't know if you can tell but the red paper is actually a patterned paper with dots on it and is the "solid, non-fruit" non-fruit side of the patterned paper from the Taste of Summer paper pack.
