June SOTM Blog Hop - A Bushel & a Peck

Welcome to the June Stamp of the Month
Blog Hop!

This month I am following {Wendy Kessler's blog.}   We have 20 Close to My Heart Consultants participating in this month’s Stamp of the Month Blog Hop. If you lose your place while traveling through our blog hop, the complete list of participants can be found here.

The June Stamp of the Month is entitled A Bushel and a Peck (S1806) (Set of  15).   Here is a picture of this stamp set:

I have been waiting to get my hands on this stamp set, and not so patiently, ever since I saw it in the catalog.  I love, love, love this little girl!

Take a look at my sweet card.

And I even decorated the inside of the card.

All of my images were stamped with Memento Ink (Z899) because I was using my Shin Han Alcohol Markers to color the images in.  Memento Ink won't bleed with alcohol markers and makes a very crisp image.  When I color with alcohol markers, I take my time.  I have learned that you don't want the image to get too wet, so sometimes even if I am not finished, I will let it dry and come back.  I start with my lightest color and then go to the darker after I put a layer of light color down.  I go back and blend with my lightest color or the Colorless Blending Pen (Z2469).  The Colorless Blending Pen is more like a pen full of bleach.  It lightens your colored image and seems to kind of remove the top layer.  In life, nothing is one color so using at least 3 different colors will add dimension and interest.  I suggest that you play with it and don't give up.  Another tip is that I always stamp two of each image so I can mess one up and not have to restamp.

As far as supplies, I used all of my Shin Han markers except for the blues and purples.  The woodgrain patterned paper comes from our Fresh Air paper pack (X7232B).  The heart patterned paper comes from our Adventure Paper Fundamentals paper pack (Z3351).  And all of the rest of the patterned paper comes from our Central Park paper pack (X7231B).  I make a 4.5" x 6" card base with Poppy cardstock (X5963).  I also used White Daisy (1385) and Lemon Cardstock (X5971).

I cut out the scallops with our Scallop Border die cuts (Z3348) and added Bitty Sparkles (Z1263).  I also used Basic Circles die cuts (Z3318) and the Stitched Circles die cuts (Z4181).  I used lots of Thin 3D Foam tape to pop up the girl and the apples.

I would love to claim the card design but I CASE'd it from MFT Academy.  Such a cute design!

The June Stamp of the Month Stamp Set can be purchased for $17.95 or if you purchase $50 in CTMH products, you can add this stamp set to your order for an additional $5.  This stamp set is only available between June 1 – June 30, 2018.
