Best Friends Furever Blog Hop

Welcome to the Best Friends Furever Blog Hop!

This month I am following {Carrie Simmond's blog}   We have 7 Close to My Heart Consultants participating in this month’s Best Friends Furever Blog Hop. If you lose your place while traveling through our blog hop, the complete list of participants can be found here.

Have you seen our Best Friends Furever Promotion?

Our furry friends play a huge role in our lives, and we want to help you document your favorite
memories with your pals with paws. To help you do this, we’ve created a one-of-a-kind 6" x 8" Cut
Above® kit! This 6" x 8" layout kit is the first of its kind and features reversible die-cuts, so you can
choose dog or cat-focused titles and accents for this quick and easy project! Create even more fun pet themed projects using our other Best Friends Furever items, too! We’ve also created a new paper
packet, sticker sheet, and two new stamp sets, along with a special workshop kit to help you keep your pet-themed creativity flowing.

This special features the Best Friends Furever Cut Above® Kit (CC11194),
the Best Friends Furever Workshop Kit (CC11197),
along with  the Best Friends Furever Paper Packet + Sticker Sheet (CC11191),
the Best Friends Furever Paper Packet (CC11192), the Best Friends Furever Coordinating Cardstock (CC11193), the My Acrylix® Eat Play Love Stamp Set (CC11195),
and the My Acrylix® Kitty Cuddles Stamp Set (CC11196).
The workshop kits and Cut Above® kit are only available while supplies last.

As a part of this special, you can purchase each exclusive item individually at full price, but we are also offering the Best Friends Furever Workshop Kit w/Stamp Sets (CC11197) at a 20% discount!

I have put together two of the cut above kit albums - one with dogs and one for cats.  I love the bright primary colors in these kits and the stickers and diecuts are super cute.  My animals bring me lots of laughs and great memories, so I couldn't resist scrapbooking them.

I found a gorgeous card made by another consultant, Jennifer Greeley and decided to teach it for my card class.  I made it with Candy Apple Cardstock, sponged with Candy Apple Ink. The wreaths were cut with the Close to My Heart Flower Market cartridge.

Here's my card:

Then when you open it up, you see the gorgeous two step stamped tree from the Merry Christmas Tree Stamp Set (C1804)

I added Liquid Glass to the ornaments and poured some red glitter from my stash.  I had to add the two dogs from the Eat, Play, Love stamp set from the Best Friends Furever Promotion.  The dogs are colored in with our new Spectrum Noir TriBlend Markers.

And check out the Custom Ornament Thin Cuts.  This elegant ornament can be cut out solid and stamped with the For the Tree Stamp Set (D1891) or cut out like I did with the fancy inlays that cut at the same time you cut the entire ornament out.  So pretty and Easy.

Thank you for visiting my blog.  I would love for you to show me a little love by leaving me a comment and then please go to our next artist, {Catherine Nowak} and see what she has made with this adorable stamp set.

You can purchase any of the supplies listed above on my website

Have you seen our gorgeous new November/December (aka Holiday) Catalog?  We have two different paper lines for Christmas and I love them both.  Add into that, some fun new stamp sets and embellishments and you absolutely have to see this catalog.

I love to make cards that have a fun technique or a quirky twist and this card will not disappoint.  It is called a Twisted Card and I found the tutorial hereWhat I love about this card is that it will hold a gift card.  And who doesn't need that at Christmas time?

Here's my card:

I love this card but if you decide to make one, I have a little piece of advice.  Watch the video on my link above.  You will be so sorry if you don't.  I cut this card at least 3 times before I decided to watch the video.

And check out the Custom Ornament Thin Cuts.  This elegant ornament can be cut out solid and stamped with the For the Tree Stamp Set (D1891) or cut out like I did with the fancy inlays that cut at the same time you cut the entire ornament out.  So pretty and Easy.

For this card  used Cedar & Pine Paper Packet (X7251S), Custom Ornament Thin Cuts (Z3533), Evergreen Cardstock (X6030), Smoothie Cardstock (X5985), White Daisy Cardstock (1385), Candy Apple Ink (Z6509), Evergreen Ink (Z6512), Striped Ribbon Bows (Z3550), Silver Glitter Paper (Z3239), and Clear Sparkles (Z3274).

November SOTM Blog Hop - Family Time

Welcome to the November Stamp of the Month
Blog Hop!

This month I am following {Michelle Stewart's blog}   We have 19 Close to My Heart Consultants participating in this month’s Stamp of the Month Blog Hop. If you lose your place while traveling through our blog hop, the complete list of participants can be found here.

The November Stamp of the Month is entitled Family Time (S1911) (Set of  18).   Here is a picture of this stamp set:

I have a special card to show you today.  It has the best of Fall with all of the beautiful and rich colors that comes with this time of the year.  I stamped the leaves from this stamp set in Toffee, both first and second generation.  One of the things that I adore about acrylic stamps is that I can actually move the stamp to a different position or orientation and that allows me to stamp so that it appears that I have multiple different stamps.  I love it.

I stamped the flowers with various colors and stamped the detail lines with a slightly darker color.  The center of the flower has Golden Rod Stickles which adds some texture as well as glitter.  I molded the petals with my fingers to give them some depth - not so flat.

The sentiment was stamped with Expresso Ink.  The White Daisy panel is 1/4" smaller than the card base.  I popped the panel with Thin 3D Foam tape.

Here's my card:

Supplies Used
Expresso Ink (Z2829)
Paprika Ink (Z6515)
Saffron Ink (Z2851)
