Please Help Me Choose My Watermark and Win Some Blog Candy!

Sometimes blogging can be so hard!  I hate to do the housekeeping part but the final product is worth it.  The first part of my blog housekeeping was a new blog look.  That is done, though I am still tweeking it a bit.  But basically it is done and I am keeping it for at LEAST a year.

The next part was my Blog signature and I have that done as well.  Now that I love.  So pretty.

I think my last part is my watermark.  A watermark is placed on the photo of your work to prevent others for digitally "stealing" your work and claiming it as their own.  I have had my photos "stolen" and placed on other blogs and it doesn't feel good.  I never object to someone CASEing my work.  I will even supply measurements if I have time.  But please at least make your own copy of it and take your own picture.  Using mine without permission is not okay.

I have been using Picasa to edit my photos and I really do like it, but it does not allow me to truly watermark my photos.  I use the text option and add text to my photos.  I have not been good about placing this text over my photo and need to change that.  Suzanne Dean from Color Me Creative Classroom sent out an email this week informing followers to her blog that people are stealing photos from Pinterest.com.  Suzanne urged people to watermark their photos.

So I asked my grandson, Nicolas Green, to design a watermark for me.  He had me choose a font and any kind of decorations I wanted.  Never knew what a dingbat was until now.  LOL  This is what he came up with and now I cannot decide which one to use and would love your help.  Please leave me a comment and tell me which one you like.  Thanks so much!

For helping me, I will choose a lucky commenter using random.org and send you a D sized stamp set from Close to My Heart as a thank you, so please leave your comments and help me choose a watermark to protect my artwork.  Blog candy winner will be chosen on September 15th.

  1. I like the 1st watermark with the butterfly. They are both beautiful!

  2. I'd have to say I like the one with the butterfly best. They are both great but that one just seems to make it more personalized!

  3. I like the 1st one but since I think the butterfly might get lost as a watermark on your photos I would go with the 2nd one. :)

  4. I like the one with the butterfly as well!

  5. I think I'm outvoted, but I really like the 2nd one. I'm all about simplicity though :)

  7. I like the first one with the butterfly. Very cute!

  8. I like the one with the butterfly, but it likely will get "lost" when being used in a smaller version, so my vote goes to the more simpler version #2. :)

  10. I pick the 2nd one. Nice crisp and clean

  11. I like #1 because it's got the bling in the butterfly and the bling is the thing!

  12. Considering your blog's metamorphosis with new design, I vote for the one with the butterfly.

  13. I like the 1st one with the butterfly. But I suppose the other commentors may be correct with the butterfly getting lost in the artwork...Good luck! Your grandson did a great job in creating these.

  14. I also think #2 is the better choice, the butterfly will get lost in a picture... :)

  15. I have to agree with those you choose the second watermark. I think the butterfly will be lost in your photos.

  16. They are both nice. But if I have to pick one I'd go with the 1st one. Lauren

  17. Even though I love the butterfly, I would choose #2. You want to show off your beautiful work instead of the watermark. ;)

  18. They both look the same? except for the butterfly? both are darling and eye catching but would go with #2 as the butterfly will probably get lost in the watermark.. Most people don't look real closely at a watermark. Just knowing it's there would make it hard to "steal"!!

  19. Number 1 :) I like the font and the butterfly!

  20. I have to agree #1 with the Butterfly without question :) Of course they are my Favorite for so many reasons. HUGS

  21. I like #1 with the butterfly, but since it will get lost as a watermark I would go with #2.

  22. Both are nice, but go with the butterfly. I guess I have some housework to do.

  23. I like the first one better--however they look so similar that at first I thought they were the same. Good luck!

  24. I like the first one since I am partial to butterflies, but I think the second one would do fine for a watermark.

  25. I love them both....my vote is for #2.

  26. They are both neat but I have to vote with #2!!! Enjoy your blog...keep up the great work!

  30. Water mark # 1 for sure. Love the butterfly

  31. The first one! I love butterflies (:

    ReplyDelete
  32. I like the butterfly watermark. I'm wondering, though, can the butterfly be moved up a little bit?

  33. I like the butterfly version, too. :)

  34. #1 gets my vote. I love butterflies!

  35. I love the first one for sure. That butterfly is the perfect touch!!

  36. Number 1 for sure...love butterflies, they are so freeing!

  37. I love the first watermark with the butterfly. It's cute! :)

    ReplyDelete
  38. I vote for the second watermark, it looks much cleaner and easier to read.

    ReplyDelete
  39. Is the only difference that butterfly? I think that's a nice touch to make it stand out even more as your own and harder to copy the watermark, but I really like the 2nd one just for simplicity's sake.

  40. I'll go with #1 because I love the butterfly!

    ReplyDelete
  41. I like the first one with the butterfly! They are basically the same except for that and I think the butterfly adds a more personal touch.

    ReplyDelete
  42. I like #1 with the butterfly. Makes it more unique.

    ReplyDelete
  43. I'm going to be difficult. :-) I like your name on the first one, but I like your blog address on the second one. If you do not want to change the, go with the first. :-)

    ReplyDelete
  44. Definitely the one with the butterfly. You say your grandson designed it? How did he do it?

    ReplyDelete
  45. I would try the first one on a photo to see if your butterfly shows up or just looks like a blob. If you can make it out, I'd use the first one. Otherwise, go with the cleaner second one.

    ReplyDelete
  46. Butterfly for sure! I didn't know you could have a picture watermark!

    ReplyDelete
  47. Going with the majority here. Love the one with the butterfly. Your grandson did a lovely job. :)

    ReplyDelete
  48. I like the second one. Very elegant!

    ReplyDelete
  49. I prefer the second watermark. I think the butterfly is just a little too much with the scrolls.

  50. Butterfly one! Sweet addition in my opinion!
