Kaboom! June Stamp of the Month Blog Hop

Welcome to the June Stamp of the Month Blog Hop!

This month I am following {Adeline Brill's Blog.}   We have over 50 Close to My Heart Consultants participating in this month’s Stamp of the Month Blog Hop.   If you lose your place while traveling through our blog hop, the complete list of participants can be found here.

The June Stamp of the Month is entitled Kaboom!  (S1406) (Set of 16). Here is a picture of this stamp set:

I am not a big 4th of July cardmaker and scrapbooking is on my list of things to do before I die, so at first I was a bit concerned about how I was going to use this stamp set.  I love the circle shape stamp images and decided to showcase them on one of our Circle Spin Cards.

Here's my card.

I cut out the sentiment images and circles with the Close to My Heart Art Philosophy cartridge.  I took a bunch of the other stamps in this set and made a real quick patterned paper by placing them all on the same large acrylic block and stamping them all at once.  I used Cranberry Ink on Cranberry Cardstock.  It gives you a little pattern without overtaking the entire card.

I used out Gold Polka Dot washi tape directly on the card front.  And then I took the Honey Triangle washi tape and applied it to White Daisy cardstock to give it a little pop and adhered it below and above the gold washi tape.

What I especially like about the Circle Spin cards is that you can decorate both sides of the circle that spins.  Here is the other side:

The card front was super easy to cut.  On Cricut Design space I took a rectangle and placed the square inside the rectangle and welded them together.  I guesstimated and was right the first time!  Yay!  I designed it to be framed by the white card base.  It is almost like layering - it gives it that look.

And I even decorated the inside of the card so that it shows through the window where the circle spins.  I inked up my stamp with Honey ink and then rolled one side into the Cranberry Ink and the other side in Pacifica Ink so that it would look like real fireworks.
