Thin Cuts Blog Hop

This hop I am following {Melissa Robinson's Blog.}   We have 19 Close to My Heart Consultants participating in our Thin Cuts Blog Hop. If you lose your place while traveling through our blog hop, the complete list of participants can be found here.

This hop we are featuring our product line of Thin Cuts.  Close to My Heart has Thin Cuts that are stand alone and they also offer some with accompanying stamp sets.  I have chosen to feature both types in my artwork for this hop.

And here is my card.

I hope that you can see all of the thin cuts I have used.  I have been busy.

First I cut the Lagoon patterned paper from So Much Happy (X7241B) with our Thin Cuts - Stitched Rectangle Frames (Z4260).  I am loving all of our stitched Thin Cuts.  They give such a finished look.

Then I took the light gray patterned paper from the So Much Happy paper pack and adhered Lagoon (X6007) and Blueberry cardstock (X5987) and Silver Glitter Paper (Z3239) that had been cut with the scallop border die from the Thin Cuts - Decorative Borders (Z4241).  This is one time that I used the negative of the cut so that it would look like waves.  I then ran the paper with the waves through my cuttlebug with the medium size of the Stitched Rectangle Frames.  I then used both the frame and the rectangle.  This was matted on the light side of Mint cardstock (X5986).

The sun is cut from yellow patterned paper also found in So Much Happy.  I used the Thin Cuts - Stitched Circles (Z4181).

The boat comes from the stamp set/thin cuts set, Cruisin' to Adventure (Z4261).  This is an absolutely adorable set.  I stamped the boat using our Intense Black Ink (Z4189) and colored it with our watercolor pencils (Z4242) and I even used our Shimmer Brush - Clear (Z3293) to add some sparkle to the cloud. The card is finished off with a few of our I Heart Us Sequins (Z4270).

Now the inside of the card is where all of the magic happens.  This is a wiper card.

One of our Australasian Close to My Heart Consultants, Jennie Hunt-Weymuth, has a wonderful tutorial and Cricut Design Space file for this card on her blog.  Be sure to check it out.

Here's a video showing the inside of my card.

Thank you for visiting my blog.  I would love for you to show me a little love by leaving me a comment and then please go to our next artist, {Michelle Stewart's Blog} and see what she has made with this adorable stamp set.

In Any Case . . . with Melinda and Melissa

Join us twice a month as we CASE, “Copy And Selectively Edit”, artwork created by the Art Department of Close To My Heart as showcased in the current Idea Books and our Make It From Your Heart How-To Books.
On the 2nd and 4th Thursday of each month, at 8 pm CT, we will direct you towards a piece of art and recreate it using the exact products or others that compliment its initial design. Tips, techniques and assembly directions will be shared in detail to help you recreate them on your own.
As you reproduce the items we have shared, post them on social media using the hashtag #ctmhinanycase. We will randomly search that hashtag and reward those who CASE our items. Winners will be announced on our blogs so be sure to follow us!

In Any Case. . . with Melinda

and Melissa

Good evening! Melissa and I are CASEing artwork from our new Seasonal Expressions 1 Catalog. Do you have one of our new catalogs? If not, let me know if you would like a catalog and I will be sure that you get one. Did you know that if you place an order on my website, Close to My Heart will send you a free catalog with your order.

This week I chose to CASE the Just Chillin' card on page 4. Oh and what do I mean by CASE? Copy and Share EVERYTHING! But this time I copied the main elements of the card and of course, the cute Got Snow? (C1764) Stamp Set. The Got Snow? Stamp Set is a Hostess Rewards stamp set. Usually you can only get it by using Hostess Rewards credit from holding a gathering but in the month of February, you will receive for FREE this stamp set as well as the 4 other Hostess Rewards stamp sets featured in the Seasonal Expressions 1 catalog by joining Close to My Heart as a consultant.

This stamp set is so cute, I would run, not walk to join Close to My Heart in February. Let me know if you would like more information. I would love to have you join my team.

After you see my post please head over to see what my partner in crime, Melissa Robinson has for you.

I teach monthly card classes and I love to use the cards I feature here in my classes. I turned the Got Snow? card into a birthday card. The card in the catalog used papers from 3 different paper packs. I love the papers in I Heart Us (X7242B) and chose to use papers just from that paper pack. Here's my card.

Inside of card.

Measurements for the Card
4.25" x 5.5"         Lined Patterned Paper
3" x 4.5"              Bluebird Cardstock (X5987)

The adorable bear is stamped with our Intense Black Ink (Z4189) onto the largest circle from the Thin Cuts - Stitched Circle (Z4181) while the Yay! is stamped with Thistle Ink (Z2840) onto the smallest stitched circle. I used Bluebird Ink (Z6508) to stamp the snowflake on the smallest circle from the Thin Cuts - Basic Circle (Z3318)

The inside is also stamped with the cute little penguin and is colored in with our Shin Han markers and our new Watercolor Pencils.  The stamp set, Something Fierce - Cardmaking (C1749), was also used to make this a Happy Birthday card.

Other Supplies Used
White Card and Envelopes Value pack (X254)
White Ribbon (Z4196)
I Heart Us Sequins (Z4270)

Tune in again, on February 28th, for the next episode and be sure to CASE one/all of the artwork we highlight and tag it  #ctmhinanycase on social media. We'll come looking for you and you may be a prize winner!

February Stamp of the Month Blog Hop - Heartfelt Sentiments

Welcome to the February Stamp of the Month
Blog Hop!

This month I am following {Brenda Lapp's blog}   We have 22 Close to My Heart Consultants participating in this month’s Stamp of the Month Blog Hop. If you lose your place while traveling through our blog hop, the complete list of participants can be found here.

The February Stamp of the Month is entitled Heartfelt Sentiments (S1902) (Set of  9).   Here is a picture of this stamp set:

This is a gorgeous stamp set and you definitely need it.  This stamp set would be great for scrapbooking, artwork or cardmaking.  I love the sentiment as well as the whimsical font and flower borders.

I have been itching to use the white clapboard patterned paper from our new Feels Like Home paper pack (X7243B).  And I love the mellow colors in this paper pack.

Here's my card:

Since this sentiment is so large, and I was unwilling to cut any flowers off, this card is a 5" x 7" card.  The base is made with Linen Cardstock (X6009).  I wanted to emboss the sentiment but wanted it to be in gray so I inked the stamp set with Versamark (Z891) and before stamping inked it in Charcoal Ink (Z2831) and then stamped it.

Then I colored the image with the Small Round Waterbrush (Z3244) and reinkers.  I used Ballerina (Z7501), Sugarplum (Z7500), Fern (Z2750), New England Ivy (Z2250), and Charcoal (Z2731).

The image is matted with the dark side of Charcoal Cardstock (X599) and then I added a slightly smaller piece of Charcoal Cardstock and used the lighter side.  I just love our 2 sided cardstock, one side darker and the other lighter.

The pennants are made using the zip strips from the patterned papers in Feels Like Home.  I didn't add any embellishments because I didn't want to take attention from the sentiment.

The February Stamp of the Month Stamp Set can be purchased for $18.95 or if you purchase $50 in CTMH products, you can add this stamp set to your order for an additional $5.  This stamp set is only available between February 1 – February 28, 2019.

Thank you for visiting my blog.  I would love for you to show me a little love by leaving me a comment and then please go to our next artist, {Wendy Kessler} and see what she has made with this adorable stamp set.

You can purchase this stamp set as well as any of the supplies listed above on my website
