Holiday Cheer Blog Hop

Welcome to the Holiday Cheer
Blog Hop!

This month I am following {Wendy Kessler's blog}   We have 12 Close to My Heart Consultants participating in this month’s New Product Blog Hop. If you lose your place while traveling through our blog hop, the complete list of participants can be found here.

Close to my Heart is offering a gorgeous promotion to get you in the mood for Christmas.  Dress your Christmas tree and presents to the nines this year with some beautiful, handcrafted ornaments and tags from the Holiday Cheer special! These gorgeous chipboard gift tags and ornaments are not only a great decoration for your tree and Christmas presents, but a great way to make some holiday memories with your loved ones!

The ornament and tag sets each come with the chipboard bases and a White Daisy die-cut sheet to help you create the perfect ornament or gift tag quickly and easily! These kits are available for individual purchase and will be available while supplies last. To help you maximize your ornament and tag-making fun, we’ve also created coordinating stamp sets that are a perfect fit for the ornament and gift tag sets and a special Digital Art File for even more customization options. These digital art files allow you to cut your own ornament or tag pieces from papers of your choice. Check out this fantastic promotion here.

I am in love with the stamp sets from this promotion.

And I am especially in love with the truck in the Traditional Holiday Stamp Set.  I used our beautiful new creamy French Vanilla cardstock (X6046) and stamped the truck using our Archival Black Ink (Z3271).  The patterned paper comes from our Hawthorn Paper Pack (X7249S).  I colored the truck with our TriBlend Dark Red Marker (Z2497) and our TriBlend Light Green (Z2485) and then I added a little shimmer with our Clear Shimmer Brush (Z3293).  I adhered a few Gold Sequins from our Loose Sequins - Gold.  The Happy Birthday sentiment is from our stamp set, The Sweetest Birthday Wishes (D1890), and is stamped using Espresso Ink (Z2829).

Here's my card:

Let me give you a hint on how to stamp with the mini stamps.  I cut the overlay out and placed it on top of the panel I was stamping onto.  I held it in place with washi tape.  Then I stamped each stamp - one at a time using Versamark.  There is no hurry to heat emboss.  The Versamark stays wet quite a while.  Once I had stamped all of the images, I took the washi tape off, added the gold embossing powder, and heat embossed my images.

My husband decided that I needed a little bit of color so I colored our Sparkles (Z3274) and Bitty Sparkles (Z1263) with our new Dark Red Spectrum Noir Marker (Z2497) and embellished the card with it.

Thank you for visiting my blog.  I would love for you to show me a little love by leaving me a comment and then please go to our next artist, {Gina Brandstetter} and see what she has made with this adorable stamp set.

You can purchase any of the supplies listed above on my website
