Hi There! I am following {Wendy Kessler's blog} We have 14 Close to My Heart Consultants participating in our July/August New Product Blog Hop. If you lose your place while traveling through our blog hop, the complete list of participants can be found here.
Have you taken a look at the new catalog? The artwork is honestly gorgeous and just begs to be scraplifted. Why invent the wheel? So I decided to do just that. Check out this artwork on page 26.
I have used 3 of these pieces of artwork and made cards with them. I will show you one I used for a card I especially enjoyed making. Here is my card:
I have an admission to make - I absolutely hate the Baby Shark song. The song is like a Brain worm that despite being very catchy, won't leave my brain once I hear it. BUT, my grandson who just turned 4 absolutely loves this song, and being a great grandma, I made him this card.
As I made this card I had to sing the Baby Shark Card Song - Baby Shark a doodle doo do do baby ............. well I am sure you know the rest. I used the Z3966 Jawsome Birthday Stamp + Thin Cuts and it was so fun to play with. Check out the "bite" taken out of the backing for the shaker card. Isn't that fun?
I used a Cricut cut to cut the waves for the card. My lighting was a bit wonky and I want to assure you that the cardstock I used was: X6037 Bluebird Cardstock; X6039 Carolina Cardstock; 1385 White Daisy Cardstock; X6047 Black Cardstock; and Z5946 Linen Cardstock. For the waves I used the light side of Carolina on the front wave and the dark side for the back wave. I love that our cardstock has a darker and a lighter side. Gives me more choices!
The shark was stamped with Z4189 Intense Black Exclusive Inks Stamp Pad so that I could color him with a Z2475 Brown Grey TriBlend Marker. The little sharks above the wave were stamped with Z2825 Mink Stamp Pad.
I made the shaker part of the card with Z4309 Circle Shaker Window Thin Cuts and the
Z4310 Circle Shaker Window Foam + Acetate. I put the Z3676 Blue Belle Loose Sequins inside the shaker window. The circle frame was cut from X5947 Mink Cardstock
and I used Z3561 Black Diamond Stickles Glitter Glue to make the dots on the circle frame.
I attached the waves to the Linen Cardstock and then ran it through my die cutting machine using the X6246 Stitched Rectangle Frames Thin Cuts so I could add the stitching to the outside of the panel.
Thank you for visiting my blog. I would love for you to show me a little love by leaving me a comment and then please go to our next artist, {Brenda Lapp} and see what she has made with this adorable stamp set.
You can purchase this stamp set as well as any of the supplies listed above on my website.
