Deck the Palms Blog Hop

Hi There!  I am following {Cat Nowak's blog, CatScrapbooking}   We have 9 Close to My Heart Consultants participating in our Deck the Palms Blog Hop. If you lose your place while traveling through our blog hop, the complete list of participants can be found here.

Oh my goodness!!  I so needed this special.  The colors are so uplifting and cheerful!  And who doesn't need a pink flamingo?

Add some tropical flair to your artwork with the new Deck the Palms paper suite! Whether you live in a tropical locale or just dream of an island paradise, Deck the Palms is for you. This brand-new collection features its own paper packet, sticker sheet, accessories, stamps, and Thin Cuts.

Since the Deck the Palms collection will be available during the 2021 Christmas season, the paper packet includes double-sided patterned sheets with more generic tropical themes and some Christmas-inspired designs for greater crafting versatility. Similarly, the accessories available through the Deck the Palms special also include Christmas and generic options, and the stamps and Thin Cuts available through the special also incorporate similar themes. For even more creative fun, the Deck the Palms suite includes an additional sticker sheet and a stand-alone card front Thin Cuts set!

All the products available through the Deck the Palms special can be purchased individually, but they are also available in the Deck the Palms Product Bundle at a 20% discount! We’ve also put together THREE exclusive workshop kits, all of which are also available at 20% discounts! To help keep the crafting fun going, Close to My Heart is offering two virtual events—one featuring the cardmaking kit, and another featuring both scrapbooking kits!

I absolutely adore the thin cuts from this promotion so sat down yesterday and cut a bunch out of different types of paper and instead of making 1 card, I made 3 cards.  So much fun!!

Here are my cards:

All of the images were stamped with Intense Black Ink and colored in with our Spectrum Noir TriBlend markers.  I used Pale Pink Blend, Pale Pink Shades, Magenta Blend, Pink Violet Blend, Coral Shades, Green Turquoise Blend, Alpine Green Blend, Ice Grey Blend, Citrus Blend, and Gold Yellow Blend.

I have really fallen in love with the Deck the Palms Card Front Thin Cuts.

I have used these thin cuts on all of my cards.  I have learned to not throw pieces away and I was delighted that the "inside piece" of the frond thin cut worked better on my Flamingo card than the fronds that I intended to use.

Thank you for visiting my blog.  I would love for you to show me a little love by leaving me a comment and then please go to our next artist, {Haley Dyer, the Inky Scrapper} and see what she has made.

You can purchase any of the supplies listed above on my website.
