These are My People Blog Hop

Welcome to the These are My People
Blog Hop!

This month I am following {Michelle Stewart's blog}   We have 18 Close to My Heart Consultants participating in our These are My People Blog Hop. If you lose your place while traveling through our blog hop, the complete list of participants can be found here.

Remember when I told you that I was madly in love with the new Operation Smile Stamp Set, You Make Me Happy (D1920)I told you that I would be using it again! Look at the adorable critters on this stamp set. With every purchase of this stamp set, $7 are donated to the life saving mission of Operation Smile™.

And they are so much fun to color with our Spectrum Noir TriBlend Markers!

Here is my card:

My days have changed in the weeks that we have been staying at home.  All of my events have been canceled and I so miss my peeps.  But it has given me a whole lot more time to rediscover Pinterest.  I had forgotten all about the different tutorials and I am having a ball trying all of the different card patterns.

My card is a Joy Fold card.  It is actually a very simple card to make that looks a little harder than it actually is.   The smaller card is adhered to the larger card.  Super duper easy! And I used the fresh colors of the These are My People patterned paper.

Here are the measurements to make this card:
Black Cardstock - 4.25" x 8.5", scored at 3" on long side
Raspberry Cardstock - 3" x 8", scored at 4" on long side
Striped These are My People Patterned Paper - 4" x 5.25"
Blue These are My People Patterned Paper - 2.75" x 4"
Pink These are My People Patterned Paper - 2.75" x 3.75"
White Cardstock (inside of card) - 2.75" x 3.75"
My kitty is stamped on a 2.25" circle with the white glitter paper circle - 2.5"

So, let me tell you how I colored my sweet little kitty.

The kitty and sentiment were stamped with Archival Black Ink Pad (Z3271).  I used just two Spectrum Noir TriBlend Markers on this image, TriBlend Ice Grey (Z2474) and the Bright Pink (Z2495).  I also used the Colorless Blender (Z2499).  The first thing I did was to color the kitty in the lightest shade of the Ice Grey marker.  I added the rouge to the kitty's cheeks with the lightest of the Bright Pink marker and then I drew in the kitty's stripes with the medium shade of the Ice Grey marker.  I then went back over the entire kitty to soften the lines I just drew in and blend in the rouge.  I added some pink to my kitty's ears and then softened it with the Colorless Blender.  The heart below the kitty was colored with the darkest shade of the Bright Pink.

I adhered the kitty to the White Glitter Paper Circle with Thin 3D Foam Tape.  In the inside of the card, the leaves are colored with the lighter and medium shades of the Light Green Blend (Z2485). The flowers are colored with the Bright Pink Marker (Z2495) and the Pale Pink Marker (Z2496)

I finished the card off with White and Gold Twine (Z4014) and the white dots from the Black and White Dots (Z3314) assortment.
