Baby Booties for Artiste in August

Can you believe that we are on the 6th day of the Artiste in August Blog Hop?  This is a circular hop and  Pamela O'Connor is the blog in front of mine.  We are a group of Close to My Heart Consultants who are making a different project each day using our brand new Close to My Heart Exclusive Cricut Artiste Collection.  Each day we will be focusing on a different shape or box that you can cut out with the Cricut Artiste cartridge.

Today is baby booties day.  I really wanted to use the new Dakota paper pack for these bonnets.  Convention this year was in Dallas and this paper reminds me of Dallas.  I blinged it up, as you can see.  I added Rhinestone Brads and Bitty Sparkles.  Here are my baby booties.

You can find the pattern for the baby booties on page 63 of the Cricut Artiste Handbook.  There are also assembly instructions in the Cricut Artiste Assembly Book on page 41.  I tried a variety of adhesives to put this bootie together.  The one that I liked the best was Aleene's Super Tacky Glue.  I had a hard time putting this bootie together.  I wish that I had used my scrap computer paper until I had the hang of it.  I finally applied glue to the back tabs, glued them down and let them dry a bit.  Then I worked my way around the bootie, applying glue, pushing the tabs down against the sole and then "playing" with it until the tab was flush against the edge of the sole.

Don't you really want the Cricut Artiste?  Look at all you receive with the CTMH Cricut Artiste Collection.
