Close to My Heart National Papercrafting Month Blog Hop

Welcome to the Close to My Heart National Papercrafting Month Blog Hop!

I am following {Terry Ann Diack's Blog.}   We have 22 Close to My Heart Consultants participating in our Close to My Heart National Papercrafting Month -> Noted Blog Hop.   If you lose your place while traveling through our blog hop, the complete list of participants can be found here.

Wonder of all wonders!  I did NOT make a card!!!  I really love the Mini Album that comes with this promotion.  The Mini Album is a strong, sturdy Kraft book that has 10 page protectors that will easily hold 4" x 6" pictures.  It is wire bound, but the wire is on the inside.  Check it out below in the picture.

The promotion also comes with a couple of sheets of patterned paper, two sheets of cardstock in special promotion colors, and 2 sheets of white cardstock.  Plus you get the most adorable stamp set and gold foil stickers.  With a $50 qualifying purchase, you get the paper, foil stickers, and the stamp set.  For an additional $5, you can also get the mini album which retails for $9.95.  The total value for the entire kit is over $34.  Wonderful deal!

So, what did I make with this kit?  I made my husband a Grandpa's Brag Book.  Hubby works as an audiologist and loves to show his patients pictures of the grandkids.  We are up to 22 grandkids and their parents are super busy with their lives.  I found that I didn't have a whole lot of pictures.  Then I remembered FACEBOOK!!!  A treasure trove of pictures.

This was my workplace this afternoon.

So much fun looking at pictures, laughing at each child's unique personalities, and busily printing pictures (thank you new printer - YOU ROCK!) all different sizes so I could get multiple pictures of each child in this mini book.

Here's my album cover:

I wanted to make an album that my husband couldn't tear up easily, so there is no pouffy embellishments or anything that he can accidentally pull off.  I also wanted to stick to what is in the kit so I could show you what a great deal the kit is.

The album title was made with my Art Philosophy cartridge and glued down with my Bonding Memories Glue Pen.  I matted most of the pages with Cocoa cardstock (not in the kit), but that is all I have added.

For the inside cover below, I cut this cute little heart frame from Art Philosophy.  I am going to write something sweet once the album is entirely done and ready to be gifted.

Page 1.  Look at the number of pictures I can get on one page!  The stamped images are all found in the cute stamp set that comes with this promotion.

Page 3.  Some of the page protectors are smaller and will hold 3" x 4" pictures.  Don't you just love the patterned paper?  Very "Springy".

So much fun to play with!  I have had a ball today working on this album.  I still have about half of the book to finish and will do it tonight and tomorrow.  This is Page 5.

And here is Page 6.  Love these pictures!
